The brass is likely stronger than a plastic lower.
He does have mad skills on a mill. When I read the title I thought buy a block of brass and run it in a CNC making aluminum lowers with a feed speed change.

i would like to see what it's condition is after a 1000 rounds too, heck, it may show no wear at all, you never know. i finally watched the video though, i didn't realize it was a 10, he did say it reduced recoil with the added weight of just under a 2 lb difference from his polymer lower which i would have expected but would that mean that lower is absorbing more recoil stress? i didn't know they even made a polymer 10 lower

Brass becomes even more malleable under heat. Unlike aluminum. I think it is plenty strong enough to be used, but I would be very concerned everywhere that a steel part came in contact with the brass lower, due to the steel being significantly harder.

Now if this is actually admirality brass, that could be a different story. Be neat to see how well it holds up after a few thousand rounds. Excellent machine skills!

How would it be different than AL or Poly lowers? They too are softer than steel. Ultimately, as was stated, time will tell. Irrelevant to me anyway. If I had that kind of extra time, I'd do something else with it. Time is money and I'm a little short. Spend wisely.
