I have seen very few open carry sightings here in Collin County.

I saw 2 today. One at chic Fila and one at Lowe’s and 1 yesterday at Buccees. I wonder if it’s catching on.

I usually have glock 43 concealed.

I prefer to not let it be seen. I feel like I would become a target if it ever hits the fan.

The guy I saw at chic Fila looked odd. Was in all black, extra mags, loner type.

I was in drive thru, kept waiting for people to run out.

I saw one similarly dressed the other day at a little country store near us. The guy was kinda creepy looking.

If they want open carry to be more normalized, quit dressing like your going out for a rampage.
The Lowe’s guy looked squared away.

I have yet to see it.

I carry every day concealed, and look at everyone in my surroundings.

I can’t remember where it was but I saw a guy like that in black 5.11 pants and boots. The thing that really got me was that he was standing at the back of his trunk putting he’s gun and extra mags on is belt and I was like alright. Once we were inside I noticed that he had a badge on his belt but I didn’t check to see what agency it was.

Saw a guy walking out of Bass Pro in Grapevine today.

No biggie.

Last I remember seeing it was a little sawed off dude about 5’6” typical 9-5 desk jockey looking guy with aviator sunglasses and a polo shirt from 1995, obvious case of little man syndrome but that full size 1911 down to his knee with 2 extra mags made him feel good.

One of the main reasons I won't open carry. No aviator glasses but at 5'6" and an old I would probably be an easy mark for someone wanting to prove a point about open carry. I prefer to stay concealed and not to be a threat in case it hits the fan.

I just don't think I'd want to have the attention drawn to me that open carrying would do. Some guys seem to like the attention...but not me.

We are in Cody, WY for the summer and I see it every time we get into town, 2 or 3 each trip in. At Church Sunday, then at restaurant and then at Ace Hdwe.

Last Saturday morning I saw a guy walking down Independence in Plano dressed in a suit. He was holding his coat (I don't blame him, it was getting warm) thus you could see he was carrying. No big deal.

I have enjoyed carrying outside of the waistband and lazily throwing a shirt over it. This in my opinion is the best thing about open carry is the fact that I personally don't care if it is seen. I know that printing wasn't an issue before the law change but it has eased my mind.

Yes, I am posting to an old thread - because over the last couple of months, I am suddenly seeing more and more open carry. It has gone from pretty rare, to every few days, with a mixture of people types - and gun types. Not the same people each time. It has clearly been ramping up.

Just this week, a guy in a restaurant with a full sized stainless 1911. (Obvious call for attention)
A 40-something year old gal with a snub nose revolver on her hip, leaving the boat repair shop.
Saturday, a guy in his 50's wearing a compact pistol in the hardware store.

I am trying to figure out what is driving this change.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.
