So, there I was surfing the net when I came across this old USN marked knife for $49

I thought I remembered a USN sheath or two in my "box of stuff" and went to look.

Sure enough I had a MK1 and MK2 USN sheath in the pile, so I bought the knife just to put the sheath back in service. laugh

I need to clean it up a bit and put a good edge on it, but here's a couple of fresh out of the box photos:

Yeah, very nice, indeead! I was a Navy diver, and those pics bring back some fond memories of a time long ago and far away!

we had a couple of those on the Kyes(destroyer), were in marked "USN" leather sheaths
hold on Newt, we got a runaway

We used these in the old hard hat diving days. Solid brass "sheath," and the knife screwed and unscrewed into and out of the sheath. Really handy.
