I looked at one at Rifle Gear and was impressed. I ended up with the Dan Wesson but I was phat at the time. If you are on a budget, go for it. They are like a blank canvas for replacement goodies and CeraKote.
I really like their XT in .22 magnum.

The two I had were built like tanks. Fit was good finish was ok, but not great.
I've always liked the 1911s full length dust cover rails, reminds me of the robocop gun lol.

Tell me about Rock Island 1911's. I converted to all Glocks, but used to love my Kimber 1911 45 I had. I may have a wild hair to get this one. My dealer pricing has these "on sale" and it's tempting. And Yes, I absolutely love the 1911 with the tactical rail. I use it with a light on the pistol all the time. Rock Island 51914 TAC Ultra FS Single 10mm 5" 8+1 Gray G10 Grip Black Parkerized http://armscor.com/firearms/tac-series/tac-ultra-fs-10mm/ I have what I think is the exact gun but in .45ACP. Have had it since 2012. I’m very satisfied with it. Ran one box of factory ammo through it and nothing but my reloads through it since.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

You take it apart with a paper clip. What? I take most of my guns apart by hand with no tools, so how does taking it apart with a paper clip matter? Yep, and the paperclip isnt just for the RIA most if not all bull barrel 1911s require the "paper clip" to take down. My buddies Kimber was same way. A staple from a target board works just as good and is available at almost every range on earth. Just bend one leg straight and “wolaha.” .

Solid gun, you'll like it I'm sure.........It's not built like a DW but you can replace parts and make it just as good and still save some coin. I used mine for about 2 months and the honey moon was over, back to long guns so consider the honey moon factor before blowing your cash.

Buddy of mine has one that he carries for "hog repellent" while deer hunting. He says it shoots great and accurately. I have a G21 in the mighty 10mm, and I can tell you that it is a great round. You know you're holding some horsepower when you light one of those off!
What part of "shall not be infringed" don't you understand?
