I've been considering selling my old (04) Ranger and getting a mule 4010 trans 4x4. I like the idea of being able to haul 4 people comfortably or the back seat can be moved to increase the bed space. I'll mainly be using it around our small property to feed goats and what not and to drive around the neighborhood so a low top speed doesn't bother me. Of course it'll be used for hunting as well. Anyone own one that can tell me if they enjoy theirs or not?
Thanks!

I have a 2011 and it is awesome.

I use it at home also.

Halloween is great. I can carry kids and adults. Beer with ice in the front storage area.

I've had both...my Polaris is a 09 two seater (only year with the newer body style and 700 motor). There is no comparison in ride...the Trans Mule is a straight rear axle and will knock your fillings loose in a plowed field. I wouldn't want another straight axle for that reason alone. The Mule FTX is a whole different beast.

Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy.

I like mine but wish I’d gone with the ProFX. There’s a lot more room and they’re a lot smoother. I bought my 4010 the first year the FX came out. I wish I’d spent the $2k extra and bought the bigger machine. I wanted the proven machine. My buddy bought the FX and it’s $2K better.

I bought a 2016 pro-mule dx last summer. Put 75 hours on it during quail season. Rides smooth, 54”x54” bed, and the diesel is a fuel miser.

I have a 2010 4010 Camo transmule and have not had ANY issues at all... I put a 2 inch lift and upgraded the tires and wheels.. One thing I did do was put radial; tires on it.. Rides completely different now....

I have a 2012 trans-Mule. It’s next trip to the shop, will be it’s first. EFI and 4 wheel suspension. Use it for quail hunting. Very dependable, strong, and starts every time.

I have a 2011 and it has been bullet-proof. Plenty of power for our needs, and it has been ultra-reliable. It's not fast, but it's fast enough and I didn't want the boys getting airborne when they were younger and less wise. The only bad thing about it is it won't break down so I can replace it with a DX Pro Diesel...

If you replace the springs and tires on the 4010 it rides WAY smoother.

Any recommendations that improve the ride?

You'll be happier with an independent rear suspension, congrats on the new toy smile
