Two parts water one part vinegar and salt for the brine. Boil brine. Pack cucumbers in jar with dill and jalapenos. Pour hot brine over cucumbers. Leave at room temperature until the cucumbers change color. Maybe a couple of days. Refrigerate.

I buy these and add onion, garlic and jalapenos to them. Pretty damn good.

You can have them ready in 20 min if you don't plan on keeping them longer than a week. Here is link to a quick and easy instant 'pickle' recipe. Whenever we make them they are usually all eaten in a single setting.

That's what I call marinated cucumbers. I put up around three quarts each year with my recipe. I got it from a Morton Pickling Salt box. I save old pickle jars. Here are the last of mine from last year. I plan to put them on my burgers tonight and save the jar for more my when my cucumbers are ready

the old fashion way is long and drawn out, but is worth it.

I know it beneath you, but go to Walmart and buy the Maple Bourbon pickles. They are sliced and fantastic. When jar is empty, slice up cucumbers and leave in there for 3 days, then enjoy again.
