I was out doing some fence repair early this morning when 3 little boars came trotting up the game trail toward me. They saw me, froze in their tracks, and then began a discussion on what to do. I had my new Ruger PC 9 Carbine loaded with 147 grain Hornady JHP's, put the pipper of my red dot scope on the ear of the closest one, and squeezed the trigger. He went down squalling, so I put another one in him. Range was around 40 yards. His two buddies took off with the first shot so I didn't get a chance to shoot at them. This one probably weighed no more than 50 pounds or so. The little carbine I has become my new "truck gun!"
