This happened near my lease in Montague. Anyone know who the outfitter was? No one died luckily. It was on TV news but they didn't mention they were hog hunting. I am pretty sure I can guess who it was since he is a big operator up there. https://www.timesrecordnews.com/story/ne...exas/626556002/

I think it is going to be Andy Anderson's company, Executive Outdoor Adventures. He was navigating when the pilot his trees, according the the FB post he made. All are recovering. Lots of broken bones and such. From his FB page Yesterday I was navigating for another aviation company during a veterans hunt. We didn’t quite make it over the trees resulting a crash. I was able get help and walk away from the incident. I’m pretty beat up, sore and blessed. The guys in the back are vets and although they sustained some broken bones requiring surgery they are doing well. The pilot suffered some more serious injuries, but as of today is doing much better. I wanted to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the calls, text and messages for the concern, well wishes and prayers. Company link... http://executiveoutdooradventures.com/

That sucks and glad everyone is alive. It's in the back of my mind every time I go up, it could be my last.

I'm going to do it and when I do, it will be Anderson's company, almost exclusively for what they fly. Helicopter flying is a bit risky, doing it in the manner it's done while hog hunting, even more so, but couple it with the bottom of the rung hardware (Robinson helicopters) as many fly, simply makes it too risky.
There's good info. in the 2017 link DNS made above.
Kel-Tec RFB + Griffin Sportsman Ultra Light 300 + Pulsar Apex XQ-50 M&P-10 + AAC Cyclone Remy 700 + Leupold VX3 3.5x10x50 CDS

Sad. Good to see everyone survived but I'm afraid this ain't the end of the story (medical bills, V.A. super liens, insurance, lawyers, etc...)
