Looking for a lease 3 hours or less from Houston, Tx. We are looking for a family minded lease where we can introduce son/daughter to ethical hunting and game management. Prefer something with a place to stay. Elec/water a minimum. Willing to participate in management program. Thanks. Russell

As a suggestion on this forum as well as others, check frequently and be ready to look with money in hand. Times when some hunters take a place unseen just to get on a lease. Check Chamber Of Commerce and feed stores in area you would like to hunt. It is tough but can be done. Good luck!

Thanks. Doing all that you suggested. We got a late start, so unfortunately not a lot to pick from. May have to abandon and try again in January.

May not be so late, look for more activity in the coming months. There was a lease opening in Concho county that stayed on the forum much longer than I would have expected. Things happen and people have to move on for various reasons.
