Now to find the time to shoot it!
I’ll let y’all know how it runs.
Great trigger, awesome sights, very good feel.
It’s so tiny.

I got to finally handle one the other day. It's an impressive little gun. Let us know how it shoots. And also, that little phrase would make a good signature quote. grin

You'll love it. I really like mine. I think I have a review of it over on the trading post somewhere.

Holsters are difficult to find so far. El Paso Saddlery makes them. Most of the index sellers will try to put you in a G43 holster. I tried it, didn't like it.

I called Gun Zone in Mesquite today. They said they had four in stock. I told the girl that I'd be there around 5. When I get there, they had no idea what I was talking about. They "remembered" selling one a few days earlier. One guy said they may have some loaded up on the trailers to go to the gun shows, but they didn't have an inventory list. He said he could look but I'd have to put money down on the gun and it might take a couple of hours to find it. If they didn't have one, that down payment could be placed towards ordering one. No guarantee on delivery date.

I decided there are other places I can do business with.

Crap...I did not need to see this. What is the size of the 365 in relation to a 938? Please tell me it's a hell of a lot bigger as the Kimber Micro 9 I carry now is about the size of a 938 both of which of course are single stack.

Sorry. Not much bigger.

OK, I picked up a 365 yesterday. (Bought, not just picked up) Took it to the range today. I'm impressed. I have long hands and it was easy to shoot. The short sight radius compared to my FS handguns cost me some accuracy, but that's just the nature of the beast, not the guns fault. I unboxed it, dabbed a few drops of gun oil on the rails, quick-racked it a few times, and loaded her up. I was shooting the magazine with the pinky extension, and will be buying another of those as well as a couple 12-round. The flush-mount functioned just as well, but I need more of a grip than it offers.

150 rounds fired this morning through it and not a single hiccup. I personally found it much more controllable than the P 238. Loading is almost scary easy. With the slide locked to the rear, insert the magazine, and with just a fraction of a millimeter (I'm barely exaggerating here) of rearward slide motion she goes into battery. Despite the narrow purchase area, it's extremely easy to charge. Using the slide stop as a release was also very easy, but I prefer to "sling shot" load and it did it perfectly.

Take-down is stupidly simple. There's one trick but it's so easy I'm not even going to get into it here.

The true innovation of this gun, apparently, isn't the gun itself but the magazine. It necks down towards the top, allowing the frame of the 365 to follow its' lines. Loading the magazine's was surprising. The 10th round into these magazine's felt like the 10th round into a higher capacity magazine, if that makes sense. While not "delicate" I never wished for a loading device even after loading them 15 times.

On a side note, on page 20 of the owner's manual it shows a variant with a manual safety. And the holes are in the frame for an ambi-safety, they're covered on the outside by the coating and ALMOST invisible. I didn't look until I saw the safety in the manual and with really carful looking you can tell where the safety will go. I'm looking for a manual safety version to come out soon, so if that's important to you, just sit tight for a while.

Overall the P 365 was a pleasure to shoot and with a little practice and doing my part I'll carry with confidence. I didn't find it "snappy" at all. I don't look for it to replace my M&P .40c with TFO sights, but I certainly have room in the stable for her and she's staying.

I looked at the SIG site and the only holster they show now for it, that I can see, in an inside the waistband type. I'll be looking around at FOBUS, Alien Gear, and even EL Paso Saddlery for a proper carry rig for it.

I hope this was useful.

Ken

edited to add:. The first 100 rounds was Sig 115g FMJ ammo, the next 50 were 25 rounds of 115g Hornady Critical Defense and 25 rounds of 135g Critical Duty. I could tell the difference, but the gun sure as heck couldn't. The 365 is rated for +P ammo.

edited again to add: I just read my review and think I should say I do not work for Sig and have no financial interest in the success or failure of this gun.

edited to add: Wow, I can't believe that worked.

Just at left the range. She a snappy little cuss!
Fed everything I shot through her. From 135 Hornady Critical Duty, Federal HST 150’s, and 135’s.
Some old Corbon 135’s I had. Some 147 Winchester Rangers as well.
She a handful to shoot, but still shoots easily to me. The sights are really nice, but the sight radius of coarse isn’t great. Up close and personal out to about 15 yards I was hitting out steel silhouettes with ease and getting a few slower double taps in for good measure.

Yeah I definitely think I'll be in trouble. I just came from a LGS that was showing one to another customer that wants to buy it if the first one in line doesn't show up by the end of day. So 3rd in line I didn't bother to put my name down but I did handle it. It's not much if any bigger than my Micro 9 it seems and with double the mag capacity and a better trigger and better sights. I like the fact that there are 3 mags to choose from, 10 round flush, 10 round with a pinky extension, and the 12 round mags all of which they had to try out. I definitely see one in my future. I just hope I don't get it to find out it fires when you drop it or something like happened with the last Sig (320) I bought.

This thread cost me money...I saw one lonely pistol on the shelf at Cabelas and it wasn't marked up at $529. It fits right in to my Recluse front pocket hoslter for my Kimber Micro 9. That was the last straw. I noted on the Recluse site that they have a specific holster for the 365 now, but the one for my Micro 9 fits it fine (which itself was the same holster as the Sig 938). Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. The Kimber is going up for sale though.

I'm glad you saw it before I did. Otherwise, I'd be telling my wife about the new bulge in my pocket. I guess I could say I was just happy to see her. confused2

I did get a call back from the LGS (Rifle Gear in Plano). Everyone that said they wanted there's keeps being a no show so they are supposed to put it on the shelf tomorrow morning. Theirs is at full MSRP though (or at least what I think MSRP is?) - $599.

Man I want one, but I already have two guns on order. I'm gonna wait for the manual safety though.

I handled one today at CYA guns in Forney. It is on their rental wall, but they have none for sale.

I think I'll keep my eyes on Bass Pro and Cabela's. They both seem to be selling them for $529.

This will be my next pistol and most likely my EDC for almost all occasions. I currently carry a P938 Extreme most of the time, a Ruger LCR for pocket carry, and a P320 Compact when I have to go into the city. The P938 and LCR are easily concealable. The P320C, I have to dress around a little bit.
