Maybe a stupid question, but after 2-3 shots, why wouldn't he have corrected his POA to try to hit the 10-ring?

Depends on the game being played. Many matches with rifles it is the size of the group not so much where the group is on the target

Very impressive shooting with dare I say it (a wood stocked rifle). As good as that group is I bet the owner of the rifle doesn't call it a .04MOA rifle because of one group. bolt
