I can’t seem to eat ANY pizza without either a good solid, almost rediculous amount of crushed red pepper or some of the red pepper I still use from my Dad-crushed Thai pepper. That stuff is almost dangerous if you slip up and use too much but the flavor is WAY different than regular CRP and with some other foods, it’s just awesome. It’ll dern sure light you up! Not to sound like a pepper snob but I don’t care for the large flakes at the top of the crushed red pepper shaker so I take a new bottle and put it in my little processor, beat the heck out of it and put it back in the shaker. Ok it’s the baby bullet still in the cabinet from when my wife used to make all my boys food. Do any of y’all do anything special for your spice needs?

Habanero flakes have made an appearance in my kitchens. I’d try that for sure. I can honestly say I do t know what flavor hananeros have. Thai peppers have always been in my house. We never needed anything hotter. I’m gonna have to try that

You gotta be careful how you handle the habanero flakes. Breathing the dust will take you out. Don’t get it on your skin either. If you spill it while filling a shaker, you’ll have to sell the house.
Once safely contained its great stuff. Just a little shake on a taco or a chili pie really tastes great. It’s kinda hot/sweet tasting.
