Got to a new property around noon today and I believe this place is going to be good. Place totals a little over 5,000 acres with 1,000-1,500 acres in pasture and the rest in either cotton, wheat or Alphafa. Spent a couple hrs with the land owner showing me half of it today and then headed to the ranch house. From there he was showing me where they see pigs every evening. An hr later the fun began. Shot 9 during the day which started with 2 sows and 4 piglets. Got the 2 sows and 1 of the piglets. A little while later the left over 3 piglets came walking by, 60 yards from the cabin. Got 2 of them. Then the land owner and I were heating up the grill and here comes a 220 boar. He was #6 of the day.
After dinner I’m showing him the NV and thermal gear I lone boar comes into view about 100-120 yards from us. I go out and drop him while the land owner watched from the truck thermal. I come back and give him a PVS-14 so he can walk out with me. As we are done there and I go back on NODs I whisper don’t move because 2 smaller boars are walking by 30 yards from us, those 2 get dropped.
I move down to a 200 acre wheat field and see a sounder of 11, 5 of those are now taking a dirt nap. While I’m dragging them up for a picture I spot a lone boar with the thermal. Make the 400+ yard walk and he became #15 of the night. This new place is going to be fun. I’ll post pics when I get them uploaded.

Greatness! Kudos.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf

That should win over a landowner with crops. Sounds like a great place (at least for hogs)
