So I took my Hill Country Rifles 6.5 Creedmoor to see JG and enjoy a day at his range a while back. I then had him cut and sell me some steel out to 1000 yards (which is still in the back of my truck) and in December I put in another order with Hill Country for a new 7 Mag which I received last week and topped with Nightforce ATACR FFP with the new MIL C reticle, Mil Mil turrets. I have been shooting rocks at the house out to 1100 with the 7 Mag since last Thursday when I received it, and am taking it to Triple C on Thursday to fine tune it some more. I have been using STRELOK for some time which seems fairly accurate, but could never recreate the data precisely; although close, that JG had on his calculator. Is there a favorite that you guys use?

Some top one's are Geo Ballistics, Ballistics FTE. I tried the Shooter app, and I didn't like that one. I could never get it to line up with my data.

The ones Chad mentioned are making a good name for themselves. Shooter has done a good job, albeit not always 100% correct for every distance. Most of the time it is, occasionally it will be wrong by .1 Mil at one or two distances.

Shooter was .1 low at 1000 when I used it. Dead on at 300 and 600.

Hornady 4 DOF especially if you shoot Hornady bullets. Love HCR work.

Thank you guys........ That is the issue I have been having with STRELOK .... It matches up here and there, but is always .1 MIL off of what we actually shot and recorded, and messing with temp and speed just hovers around without ever lining up. I will check out the other ones, and plan on shooting and recording for comparison to make a range card that fits each rifle after confirmed.

I have the Hornady... That one for some reason perplexes me.

Shooter was .1 low at 1000 when I used it. Dead on at 300 and 600. Sometimes that's scope tracking. Sometimes left to right wind can cause an elevation drop. Sometimes it did not correctly gather temp and DA. That is rare, and really you'll only start to see environmental effects at 500 yards and beyond.

I use GeoBallistics, and pair it with the very affordable WeatherFlow bluetooth unit. No problem making first round hits at the furthest range I have available in this [censored] called Houston: (600 yards) Of course, I have a MagnetoSpeed as well, so I know exactly what my MV is.

I downloaded the Geo Ballistic and will mess with it tomorrow to see how it goes. It is sure enough simple enough.
