I can't imagine how you would ever hit anything with that thing on the top. I'd rely on the pistol instead!!!

I'm going to have to say none of the above, there are much better choices.

Of those two choices I’d go with the Judge

Are those full semi-autos? TV says they're dangerous, and stuff.

Having that choice, I'd go with the dog.

Taurus Judge Public Defender pistol, is what i carry on the job...I only shoot factory loads...Lots to choose from...45 colt hot loads...410 pelts, slugs...Shoots all of them great...It has its limits... but for close personal use...its the king...I'm not going to be in a fire fight for even 10min...Most of the time, its over before you know it... Plus at my age...65... My eyes are not what they used to be...The Judge with Win. PDX loads...Make up for my bad eye...

Anything with a scope is a poor choice for home defense.

I use a shotgun, but am pretty impressed with the videos of the Judge in action - especially with those combo loads.

Between those two it has to be the judge. At my home I keep my 9mm by my side, and the wife takes the baby to the closet where I have a .410 for her.

I have a Judge and a DP 12, both with lasers. And on the DP 12 I added a nice, bright, white light that I can deploy if I need to. They're both nasty, and at the "normal" home defense range of 5-7 yards, ain't much gonna walk away from an encounter with one of them!

Of the two, I would have to chose the judge...although the AR pistol might be more effective on the liberal criminals. It's such a scary looking gun!

I don't own any guns, but if I did, here's what I would pick up before the "Judge"

Any 1911
sig p938
any 357 or 44 mag revolver
browning hi-power
Lever action rifle, ghost ring sight in 357 mag or 44 mag
AR rifle or SBR with iron sights or red dot

I might pick up the judge before I picked up a S&W j frame in .38 special...might.

Judge. It's my choice as well.

Have a saigas 20gauge that more than takes care of business at home defense ranges and is scary easy to shoot well, and usually have a kimber or p938 on me/close to hand.l, and the wife likes her Governors a little more than I'm comfortable with ever since she unloaded on a skunk that was getting into the trash.c
