Id like to find a quality hanging feeder prob around 100-300 lbs but seems like all the stuff online have crappy ratings and reviews. What have y'all used that worked well?

Be very careful hanging a barrel from a tree limb and ALWAYS use a brake winch if doing it yourself. Now for the good news get you a barrel and bail then you can hang one. If you are looking for a winch feeder, your right don't skimp on quality for price, pay for it once and be done. No mater which way you go keep in mind everything at some point requires maintenance or replacement. Some units do not take this into account. See engineers love to design and install equipment, they go about patting themselves on the back for such a fine job. Trouble is it's the maintenance folks later that have to figure out work on the equipment. For that reason I like more of a component built feeder. Not trying to sell you be cause I have almost shut down these days but don't let folks scam you by using boat winches as opposed to brake winches. don't misunderstand me I know of no one on this sight who builds "inferior" products but I see them all the time in small town grocery store parking lots. While I disagree with their design I will be the first to tell you hang-em-high makes a well built feeder.

FYI Sapper Titan I've got a new brake winch, pulleys, and hanging feeder bails for sale in the classifieds. Can also set you up with some 3/16" galvanized cable and little stub legs if needed to have you mostly there.

That said, might not fill the 55 drum all the way up. Would be close to 400lb on the limb.
