Any body have any experience with doing your garage floor with Racedeck products? Another option would be offerings by Garage Flooring Inc. Pros / Cons? Racedeck Garage Flooring Inc.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I've got a couple of sample pieces from Racedeck. I plan to do it in the next year or so. Not sure if I will use Racedeck or one of the other snap in tile type of products. https://www.garagejournal.com/ is a great resource for all things garage related. Just be warned, visiting that site will make you want to spend money. Stay strong. Lots of flooring related reviews, results, pictures, and how-tos.
Yeah, don't listen to me. I'm just an idiot.
Lol. Duckbill that was funny! The dude up top has already taken lots of bone before this deer, both mule and whitetail.

I looked at Racedeck for my garage, but just ended up having it professionally coated.

Back yrs ago when I worked for Western Auto all the stores had this type flooring . Holds up great for any traffic , no slip problems easy mop except for oily fluids . Those are a bugger to cleanup . Had to use high speed buffers to make the floor shine good tho . Personally I would rather have my garage floor sanded then have a seal put on it . Good seal will keep oily fluids from seeping into the concrete . Painted floors eventually chip away and peel big time . Makes for a slippery floor too .

Yea...I'm going to pass on the painted or epoxy finished variety. Too time consuming to install and long term they just don't hold up. The Racedeck type product tiles seem economical and if any get damaged or stained they are easily replaced. My application is approx 400 ft^2.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I considered some type of floor seal/covering for my garage and shop....then looked at the price and decided, "It's just a garage and a shop"....I don't mind a stain here or there.....

Not trying to be cute or a SA .....serious question... What about using “used oil” say from an oil change to mop over the floor and let it soak for a bit then use an absorbent material like cat litter to soak up all free oil? Would that not provide a consistent “stained” color and seal the floor. We’ve done that for years on wood trailer floors....

SW, you have just taken things seriously redneck! Rather than avoiding oil stains, soak that slab in used oil! Article regarding lubricating oils possibly contributing to the decay/deterioration of concrete ( here). I've done both urethane and epoxy, and they are worthless. Also tried rubber mats in our Plano home, but crud inevitably got underneath, they would shift (especially when the child bride goosed the throttle or turned the wheel when stopped), and I tossed them, too. Somebody mentioned bed liner, but that won't work. Given that one of the characteristics of bed liner is that it serves as a moisture barrier, moisture WILL build up (that is the nature of a slab) and the bed liner will eventually bubble up and peel off. Even the two principal manufacturers address this in their applications info on their respective websites. I am seriously considering polyaspartic floor coatings and have looked at getting a bid from Garage Living.

Not interested in VCT. I would do paint or epoxy before using that stuff.

Ok. So.....looks like it comes in what appears to be hand scrapped hardwood.... that might look pretty good...
I REALLY need an improved floor surface in mine..
I try and take a few current pics and post them soon.
TXGUNRUNNER308, not trying to high jack your thread.... just very interested in this.
Scarrypoppins did his garage floor a few years ago but I never saw completed pics.

I've been in the garage accessorizing business for 13+ years. Tiles can be put in any pattern you want, any color you want, you can change your mind, you can take it with you if you move, you can put it over any surface, you can easily replace one if you damage it or light it on fire while welding on it. Some folks don't like it as it can make a "clickity" sound as you walk across it. Can be remedied by putting some type of underlayment down where you most commonly walk. Epoxies/paints. More color choices, finish types, patterning of colors etc. Many you cannot recreate with tile. Expensive to change your mind and somewhat permanent without much effort. I don't care what the "special brew" of the coating is, it won't adhere unless the surface is prepared properly. The best, not easiest or least cost way, but sure fire way to prep a floor is to grind it. You can also address many imperfections this way. Good luck! Charlie

SW, you have just taken things seriously redneck! Rather than avoiding oil stains, soak that slab in used oil! I appreciate the article..... I prefer “practical logic” over redneck......figure, if it’s gonna get oil stains then just oil stain the whole daym thing....
