Calling for 38 for a low, but also for 34 and freezing precip 30 miles north of me.... to cover everything, spread hay, or ride it out? Primarily 8-10 inch tomatoes and bell peppers in question

On a positive note, the gusts they predicted so far have not happened in my place.

Need that wind to keep blowing to prevent a frost.

It depends on your setup, but I've had success turning my drippers on. You can go out now and turn your water hose on very low. I've saved a couple of crops with some variation of watering.

It was 32* east of Longview this morning, weather service called for 38* so I didn't cover anything up.
Will see how much damage when I get home from work this evening. So ready for the temp swings to be over.
