I once chopped my on cabbage. Now I simply buy the bag. I mix mayo, vinegar, and oil in a jar and toss it. I like mine a little on the sweet side. How about you?

We do our coleslaw like Bill's. It's how I remember my Mom's.

This is Great Recipe;
1 bag of Cole slaw mix with carrots
3 chopped green onion stalks
Package of previously frozen Corn, thawed and rinsed
1/2 cup Cilantro chopped
Blue Cheese crumbled about 6 oz
(optional) Black beans to your desired amount
Small amount of pickled Jalapenos finely chopped no seeds!
Mix/stir up.
Then add Lite House Jalapeno Ranch dressing, just enough to get it moist, not sloppy and mix in.

I don't care much for salads using lettuce, so my wife buys the bagged coleslaw. I usually will chop up a roma tomato or two, chopped onion, a dash of balsamic vinegar and medium heat salsa. I have this 4-5 times a week. occasionally I'll chop up 1/2 an avocado with a little cheese (cheddar or Parmesan)

I like sweet coleslaw ok, but usually after the first bite its just not as good. I prefer a vinegar based coleslaw. I know most of yal aren't from the San Antonio area and the ones who have been here seem to hat Bill Millers, but they have a vinegar based coleslaw that is very good to me.

Bagged coleslaw is OK, Lord knows, that's what you get at BBQ places, but you just can't beat fresh cut slaw. Super Salad Shooter FTW.

I'll be eating pulled pork sandwiches for lunch for awhile. I put a little dad of coleslaw on there.

I'll be eating pulled pork sandwiches for lunch for awhile. I put a little dad of coleslaw on there. That's the only way to eat a pulled pork sammy. A lot of southerners eat it that way. Some like slaw on hot dogs, I do. I make coleslaw like yours, except I give it s squirt of yellow mustard and a dash of sugar.

There are a lot of copy cat recipes that duplicate KFC coleslaw. I make it when I have guests for a BBQ dinner. (A lot of people don't like my southern style coleslaw). They say it's exactly the same as KFC and I can't tell the difference.

We make a vinegar based coleslaw, no mayo.
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar 1/4 tablespoons sugar 1/4 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon celery seeds 1 bag of prepared slaw mix
Combine vinegar, sugar, oil, mustard and celery seeds in non aluminum medium saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and dressing comes to boil. Remove from heat. Season with salt and pepper. Cool completely.
In a large bowl pour over a bag of prepared coleslaw mix. Cover and refrigerate. With smoked pulled pork, we like it with a layer of slaw and a layer of pulled pork on a hamburger bun.
