Monday night found me taking care of a beaver problem at my folks' place. Beavers had dammed up the stream again and water had backed-up far enough up stream to flood their low water crossing point. So again, the beavers had to go. Shot 2, but forgot to get the 2nd on video. The Digisight has the recoil activated feature on it to record, but I had not engaged it. Errrr! So one shot documented for the beaver. I returned later in the week to one of my favorite properties where I have a lone chair sitting atop of a ridge overlooking several hundred acres. The plan is that I can usually spot hogs from the ridge and then trek across the property to them. No hogs showed, but I called in a coyote with a mouth call and dropped her at 135 yards without engaging the illuminator, the moon being plenty bright. It is nice how much Digisights have improved over the years. I was able to spot cattle at 850 yards and raccoons(?) at 650 yards. Back with my original N550 (rated at 450 yards detection range) and later N750 (rated at 600 yards), I don't think this should would have been possible.
