Fry some baco, remove and crumble. brown chopped onion in the grease, toss in the chopped cabbage and stir fry it a bit. Usually add some creole seasoning and black pepper here. Add the bacon back in and then depending what kind of mood I'm in either just cook it a couple minutes - or, add some chicken broth and braise it til it gets soft and tender, 25 min give or take.
Shoot. Eat. Repeat.

The worst I ever had was wonderful. Twice cooked pork is my favorite.
I love cabbage rolls but they are too much trouble foe me.

Cut the cabbage in half, olive oil and salt it, then grill it until you get some nice grill marks. Then put butter, bacon grease, bacon crumbles, salt and pepper between the two halves and put them back together. Wrap the whole package in heavy aluminum foil and add a little bit of water to keep it moist. Wrap the foil thick so none of the juices will spill out. Put it back on the grill over indirect heat for about an hour until nice and soft. Open it up making sure that you reserve the juices and chop the halves into bite sized pieces and add back the reserved liquid. YUM.

Firing up the grill tomorrow. Thanks unclebubba.

Put a little sugar in there (there is sugar in cole slaw, so no squealing), and stew it down.
Send me the pic email.
