Wall in progress since we moved trying to get it all placed. Eland goes where scimitar is and it will move to fireplace.

That's nice. Do you hang them yourself, or do you know a guy?

Looks like you know what you're doing. Sure wish I did, lol. I have a big, heavy, custom made lure box just sittin in a room, gathering dust. I want to hang it on a wall, but it scares me to death to even get started. What's the heaviest one you've hung up? Really, I'm scared I won't get in the middle of a stud and have an extra hole in the wall, besides it just pulling out and crashing to the floor at 3 in the morning, lol.

The elk is heavy and her eland will also be heavy, the kudu is another one that is heavy. Get a good stud finder and I use lag bolts in the bigger animals. If close by you can use mine.

I appreciate that, but I live quite a way off from you. I work at a pawnshop and have tried several different stud finders that have come thru here. Still not real sure about them. I think I've tried a Stanley and a couple of Craftsmans. What brand do you have? Do you drill a small starter hole, then screw in the lag bolt? Don't mean to hijack your thread.

Nice collection.

Reminds me of a guy (friend of friend) near Abilene, we used to stay with on trips that way.Last time out he had taken a lion to have one of each game African game animal.
