I'm a little late posting this. But I got this guy opening day in the Kerrville area. Now I'm back home to the cold and snow. Waiting 3 more weeks for our opener in Wisconsin.

Beautiful tips on that bird. Fine fan for the wall for sure. Iím also a fan of the green iridescence over what seems to be more common purple on the rios Iíve killed (seems to be a 60:40 split on purple to green).

I saw this bird the night before season. He didn't have much for a beard but 1 1/4 inch spurs. He was the prettiest out of all the Tom's I saw. I targeted him for his colors and his age. I got lucky
