Most of yall already know this, a while back I made a post blasting Barnes for a dud 9mm which could have gotten me killed. Well, I went to the range with a magazine full of HST's. The gun had been sitting at my bedside for a month. Took it to the range , first shot, "CLICK" another light primer strike, I racked it and ran the rest of the magazine, no problem. Cussed, and put the gun back in my range bag. When I got home, I field stripped the gun with the idea, how, the striker spring and pin "might" be gummed up> What did I find?? Basically a "puddle" of "lube" floating the entire spring and pin. I now know what "they" mean by oil SPARINGLY, DOH!!!!!!!!!!!! Lesson learned, I emailed Barnes back and apologized for ripping their ammo. He thanked me for my honesty and said new ammo was on the way. I'm sure he was thinking with a smile, "what an IDIOT" So the moral of this knee jerk story, Think your problem through instead of being a knee jerk idiot!!  I can go back to shooting Barnes ammo with confidence

Ever consider not cleaning and re-lubing your firearms after each range session?  Your shotgun better be in top functioning condition for the clay shoot!!!

I had a funny feeling that was the issue, that is why I asked you how clean your pistol was in the other threads you posted. Since that same thing has happened to my dad's XDM, I have seen it happen to 2 others at the range. IMO they shouldn't have to be super clean or perfectly lubricated to function. Dad is also getting rid of his XDM.
