It wont do any good. Just trying to do something for the sake of doing something. There were about half a dozen monumental screw ups there - any one of which could have prevented and/or lessened that tragedy.
That said, its not the end of the world, or the 2nd Amendment.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

That said, its not the end of the world, or the 2nd Amendment. Of course it isnt the end of the world, but when something like this happens again in 6 months they will demand more restrictions and the process will repeat itself. Solving a problem with solutions that dont work doesnt solve anything.

I fear that soon there won't be many free states left. With the mass exodus from Ca to Tx that is going on now, it wont be long before they realize they need to screw our state up as much as the one they just fled. I swear they are like a virus constantly looking for a new host and inflecting everything in their way.
