I want to get my son shooting a bow soon and he's shown some interest to me. He's a natural lefty. Throws left, writes left, everything, except shoot a rifle. He's 100% right eye dominate. He shoots a rifle very well right handed. I'm leaning to a right handed bow because of his eye dominance. But I'm not 100% sure. Any feed back?

Go with the dominate eye. I think it is more important with archery than with any firearm to use the dominate eye to shoot with.

Definitely righty, go with the dominant eye. I didn't with my son, and I don't shoot with my dominant eye, although I think I could make the switch easy enough. Shooting with both eyes open is the best way.

Kevin set my bow up, and seems to really know what he is talking about. Chad, I would follow his bow advice as blindly as I follow your reloading advice.

Ok, sounds good! Thank you! I saw Buzz had a nice bow in the classifieds that would work well for a youth. I'm thinking about it.

My sister is left-handed everything and also left-eye dominant. My dad and I are right handed and right-eye dominant. So, we initially thought we'd teach my sister how to shoot bow and rifle right handed, but the eye thing ultimately led us to train her left-handed.
