Despite that huge hole (which was almost as big on the way out), there was almost no blood on the ground. She only went 40 yards and i saw her fall. This was the 6th trypan I've put in an animal and every head except one I plan on re-using. Yup that's so weird. I had the same issue only all 3 animals went over 100y

Wacm,
Did you get pass throughs? You said you shot bigger animals... what species were they? I'm curious because this doe was the first pass through I got with the Trypan, however, my last setup was throwing 100 grains less weight at the same speed.
My first arrow (with previous bow 450 gr at 270) into a mature Auodad (30 incher and BIG shoulders) broke ribs on the way in, broke ribs on the other side, and then lodged into the offside shoulder.
I was impressed with mess it made and not surprised it didn't make it out of the Aoudad, but I was really surprised when I didn't get a pass through on a black buck doe.
