Good luck.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Thanks Bill. I am hoping to put tires and seats on this weekend and take it for a drive.

Yep, tires. The ones on it are rotted, mismatched and in general unusable. I think it will drive around the block if I get it tires.

After some expert advice from TEXASLEFTY I spent the weekend cracking open the transfer cases and removing the gas tank. Tank had 2 holes in the top. Gears look good so once the gaskets come in I can close and refill those. Hard to believe that I brought this Jeep home on Feb. 4th.

You can also use rtv instead of gaskets to re-seal. I like the blue rtv for my t case. I always wait 24 hours for rtv to set up before adding fluid

OK, here is a question regarding wiring on this Jeep. I do not have the skill set or patience to go tracing all the wires and then determining how to fix it. My question is:

Can I leave the exisiting wiring to power the things that currently work and add a separate fuse box and wiring for the things that don't? Something similar to below.

This would be mostly for the gauges and possibly for accessories later down the road.

Thanks in advance...
