I gave it a shot. Easy and good.
Thighs and skirt steak
2 cups light brown sugar
2 cups soy sauce (cheap regular will do)
9 or 10 chopped cloves of garlic
3 tbsp fresh ginger root grated
1/2 large onion sliced thin
Whisk together marinade and pour marinade over meat in a gallon bag. Refrigerate for a day. I was told 4 hours but I did it the day before cooking.
Grill on high heat in my opinion. That sugar will caramelize and could burn so be prepared to flip often.
Melt a stick of butter in a dish/pan. Add cooked meat to the butter when you pull it off the grill. Throw green onion on it.
Serve with Macaroni salad and white rice.
