We are offering turkey hunts this spring in Frio County and have quite a few birds. $750 per hunter and that includes lodging and two toms. The hunts are self/semi guided but fully guided can be arranged if needed. Pearsall is approx a 10 minute drive away if you need anything from town. We are also guiding hog and varmint hunts if you want to add on another hunt. Email or phone is the best way to reach me, thank you.

We are seeing a ton of turkey at the ranch and have room for hunters. $750 gets you two toms and lodging along the Frio River. Most hunters get their two toms within 24 hours of arrival at the ranch. Nice lodging with your own room and bathroom, BBQ pits (wood and propane), full kitchen, and more details available upon request.
Also available is thermal hog/varmint hunts. The hog hunts are the spot and stalk variety while hunting irrigated farm fields. Lots of hogs being seen and there is plenty of action. We use suppressed ARs with thermal scopes and can typically get within 30-50 yards of the hogs.

Does the $750 include lodging and/or hog hunting? Also, I am out of state, do I need a hunting license?
Thanks!

Huntinthewild - thanks for the time on the call this morning. I look forward to meeting you.
Here is the answer on lodging and the hunting license in case anyone else was wondering.
The lodging is $70/room and that is for the entirety of the hunt, not a nightly rate. There are quite a few hotels in Pearsall (15 min drive) and they are approx $100/night, or they were in the fall during deer season. Our lodging has similar layout as a motel. There is a large room with a queen size bed, ac/heater unit, own bathroom with shower, and a cot if needed. There is a separate building behind the hunter's bunkhouse that serves as the kitchen. It is complete with a stove, oven, fridge, and microwave. There are two pits for cooking, one that is propane and the other a wood burning smoker. There is plenty of mesquite lying around too.
Yes, you will need a hunting license for turkey hunting.
