gentlemen, i am in seek of a dog trainer that can assist in the continuing training of my boykin spaniel. she is really soft and i do not want a trainer like i had with my last pup that was really hard on him. any ideas on good trainers in the area i can speak with would be truly appreciated. thanks in advance.,

What type of hunting is most important to you and what are you wanting from your dog?

Good suggestion but if you join please be wary of who you take advice from in these groups. Sometimes members think they know a lot about dog training but the truth is sometimes a particular person does not. There are knowledgeable trainers in these groups and there are less knowledgeable trainers. Make sure you are talking to the right person. I know there is a member of Cowtown HRC that has a couple Boykins. I would find out who that is and contact him directly about what pros he has used for his dogs.

I've got a 12 week old Boykin as well that I'm working through Hillmans puppy program so I will be watching this thread as well Patrick. Thank you for posting it.

As many Boykin post as I have seen lately, we might be have enough to do a Boykin DFW meet up!
