Nice day on the water out in Baffin Bay today with my friend Capt Mike Larue. Hammered the redfish and caught some decent trout.

Made for a fine dinner afterwards and many more to come!

Great times Dave and a really successful fishing experience. Can't tell you how many hundreds of times I fished Baffin back in 80s/90s with my Dad, brothers and friends while growing up in CC. Putting in at Bluff Landing and making the dark thirty boatride up the intercoastal canal then easing in to the rocks off King Ranch shoreline, drifting and working popping corks and live shrimp. Caught too many stringers of Specs and Reds for a lifetime of memories..Most exciting trip was the time we ran over the 4-5' rattlesnake only to have him come back on us about .5 mile away, 1-2 hours later. Ended up being his unlucky day meeting the wrong end of a solidly, multiple struck oar. Nothing like Baffin Bay fishing.

Looks delicious. I miss the fish more than I miss the fishing.

That makes me want to do some fishing this year. I have no excuse as I can see Nueces bay from my back porch.

Actually had trouble finding much up in Baffin itself. Stomped a couple promising looking flats with a lot of bait on top but fish where slow. Best luck was in Intercoastal on King Ranch shoreline as we worked back toward Corpus.

Always some good fishing around the king ranch shoreline between the piers.

awesome..
I grew up in Portland and Rockport and we fished Baffin alot..
My dad owned a boat shop in Portland and we had a cabin down there
So much fun

Will be hitting the backside of Port A in a few weeks, can't wait to go fishing!
Been fishing mainly Port Oconner and Seadrift the last few years

Nothing better than fresh trout and redfish !

Guessing King's Inn in Rivera is still alive and well? Great fresh seafood.
