Sine most bullets are round nose because of use in lever action rifles, not a whole lot of information on spire point bullets. My 25-35 is a T/C and would like to try and reload the same 100/115 grain bullets that I use on my 257 Weatherby, it would make things easier using the same bullet for both. Any input appreciated Thanx

My first thought is that you've got about velocity difference of 1000 fps or so between the two firearms. You might be able to make a bullet shoot well in both guns, but it will have profoundly different expansion characteristics at 2300 fps than it will at 3500 fps. A big game bullet in the .25-35 will become a varmint bullet in the .257 Wby and a big game bullet in the .257 Wby will become a solid at .25-35 velocities. For range use, there's no doubt in my mind that something like the 100 grain Hornady will shoot well in both firearms. That or perhaps one of the lighter Nosler Ballistic Tips.

Thanx for reply
Trying to get away from the RN type bullets for the 25-35, was hoping there was common ground between the 2

There is Hornady FTX factory ammo for 25-35 as well as reloading components.
