It looks like quality but I don’t like the feel of plastic stocks.

Since it's unpainted, it may take me a bit to get it painted and then set up, but I'll definitely write up a review and take some pics. I've got a custom 25-06 that's never shot worth a darn, even with a lot of load work. It's in a Pacific Research stock now, but I suspect the bedding job was less than perfect, so we'll see if this new stock with the aluminum block makes any difference.

go ahead and order a new barrel while your at it I hope it doesn't come to that. This was a brand new Douglas air gauged barrel and I did the break in. I really think it may be bedding issues. That stock just didn't seem to fit exactly right to me. Anyway, we'll see if it makes a difference. My best handloads for this rifle shoot .75 - 1.0 inch groups and I'm hoping to pull that in a bit.

That may be a great stock, but after my experience with Stocky's I could NEVER recommend them. I think that was eight or ten years ago, but it still pisses me off when I think about it.
