Really, no firearm "changes" history. No person changes history. History is not made, not changed. The idea of changing history is just a bit too Orwellian, IMO. Just thought I'd point that out.
Another particular firearm that shaped history was Oswald's 6.5 Carcano. To have been alive when that happened is still incredible to me. That's a good point. This is a fun discussion though.

Really, no firearm "changes" history. No person changes history. History is not made, not changed. The idea of changing history is just a bit too Orwellian, IMO. Just thought I'd point that out.
Another particular firearm that shaped history was Oswald's 6.5 Carcano. To have been alive when that happened is still incredible to me. You don't think the 2 atom bombs we dropped on Japan changed history? How much longer would they have fought if we hadn't dropped them?

History is not changed, it is made. You get one chance, no do-overs to achieve a different outcome. Think about it. What "history" was ever changed?

To change it, you’d have to go back in time.

In other words, there is not nor has there ever been a history after August 1945 where Nagasaki and Hiroshima were not destroyed with atomic bombs.
