You have to know where your deer are getting food and water. Know their travel habits to get these things. Provide as many as possible on your hunting place. Beyond that the best luck we have had is if you want the am acreage to be a good hunting place it needs to be mostly dedicated as a hunting place. Keep it natural, keep it quiet. Try to provide what the neighboring places don't have. Can't be going out there target shooting or joy riding. If you do some target shooting or bird hunting out there try to isolate it to one place as far away from your hunting setup as possible.

We hunt 300ac, this is what we do. Have had good luck with it. We try to keep our deer stands away from the road and property boundaries. The property is more open in front nearer the road. We try to limit our non hunting type shooting, but any that we do is up front. Bird hunting included. The better bird spots are in back too, we just only hunt in front. Also try to separate our deer and hog hunting. Feed pen the deer spots and have other open feeders for hogs with traps in other spots.

wireless cellular trail cams are great because you can watch for months without disturbing the area. I have 4 Bushnell wireless cams out since October and batteries are still 75%, pics sent to text and/or email plus phone app. Settings can be changed thru the app also.
