Im looking to join a lease in the Lubbock area for the 18-19 season and possibly for the next three to four years. I will be starting at TTU next year so my budget is fairly limited. Lodging is not necessary, but some type of camping or lodging would be a plus. Not too focused on taking huge trophies, just looking for a good lease with some good deer.

Thanks in Advance

Kent, Garza, Borden counties have some great deer around the caprock. Probably need to look there. Feed stores may be a big help.

I can tell you right now that a lease in this area where you could have lodging is going to be pretty much impossible to find because you don't hunt here like you do for whitetails in the central to southern part of the state. It is mule deer out here and a one week season. If you want a normal length season and a normal lease with a place to stay you will need to travel.

There is incredible quality whitetail hunting an hour away east, southeast and south. Exactly where Erath said. But it cost money and know how to get access. What is your budget? It's going to be $2,000 to $4,000 at least. Check chamber of commerce sites. I would be on a lease out there is it wasn't so far. Some giants taken.
