Will a pick up haul a yard of dirt with no problems?

whole lotta variables, but 1 yard can easily weigh 2000 lbs - hope you aren't going far unless you have a 1-ton dually!

I've done it several times. There are a couple of concrete companies near me. I've gotten their sharp sand for around $20 cash.

At about 2,200 pounds per yard, leave the Ford ranger at home.

Tell the dirt guy it's for the church. Folks love to help out churches. He will either deliver it or loan you a trailer I bet.

A properly equipped 2017 chevy 1500 has a payload capacity of up to 2,000 lbs. So it depends on what truck you have. FYI, A properly equipped f150 has a payload capacity of 2,300+ lbs. Find a buddy with an f150.

My 3/4 ton has seen 4000lbs in the bed and did just fine with maybe 5-6 inches of squat. It’s rated for 2200lbs but is much more capable. Before you go tossing 1 ton of anything into a 1/2 ton, you need to make sure your tires are up for the next ask and properly inflated.

I hauled 24 RR ties in my f250. Do that math. It didn’t know any difference.

You guys are getting too technical. I've done it several times with this pickup. I could have used this one.

2200 lbs in a full size pickup wont be bad. It will squat but have done it too many times to count. Don't try the baha and you will be fine. Inflate your rear tires to max before if they are not.

There goes the shocks? Hope you can steer it. The springs will set on the axel. The shocks will go down and be fine.

do yourself a favor and put some 3/4" plywood in the bed first, much easier to empty that way.

I just put a yard in my 2500hd took it like a champ. Anyone have a 3/4 ton? It would be safer.
