Anyone got a good recipe? It's a pig hunting build with a 16" wilson combat barrel and JP super bolt. Omega suppressor.
Looking for max velocity and accuracy. Anyone know? Thanks!

A stout load of R7 or 4198 would work well for that weight.

AA2200 is very popular for the 6.8.

I load 26.5 grs. of IMR 4198 with the 90 grain Gold Dots. They chrony at 2800 fps out of my 16" barrels. This is not a particularly hot load in my rifles. I had loaded them hotter than this but this load gave me the best accuracy and tightest ES and SD. Again, I worked up this load for my rifles. YMMV.

Also, posted data will be for the SPC 1 chamber, not the revised SPC 2 chamber. So you can "generally" go over listed data by about 1.5 to 2 grains and be safe in an SPC 2 chamber. Just work up to it.

Thanks fellas. SPC 2 chamber. Should've mentioned that.

If y'all had your pick, is there a particular powder you'd choose over the others for this load? I hear AA2200 a lot and R7. Been using H322 in another load.
I been running a pretty hot sierra soft point load with good results. 28.6 of H322 with CCI #41 primers gave me good accuracy and 2550 fps. No pressure signs and at least 100 dead pigs with that load so far.
But I scored a deal on a mess of the gold dots and have heard great things.

I load 110 grain Sierra Pro Hunters and Hornady V-Max with H-322 about the same as your load. When I got the 90 gr Gold Dots, I intended to use A2200 but couldn't find any locally but was able to find the IMR 4198. It works well for me but I still look for A2200 whenever I'm in town and will try it if I ever come up with some.

Sounds good. I'll be on the hunt for both. As of recently the cabelas close to me expanded their reloading section so I might be able to see if they can get some for me if they don't have it on hand.

CFE BLK looks to give good numbers too. I've heard good things about IMR and H 4198.
My personal favorite is 30 grains of 8208 XBR with 115 Noslers if you don't mind using a bigger bullet. I've shot a hog with it before, and it didn't get very far. Groups .1 moa out of my rifle.

AA2200 is very popular for the 6.8. A lot of guys use magnum primers with this, and say it makes a difference.

Appreciate it. Gonna study up a bit. I've got 500 gold dots so it'll be my load for a little bit. At least a month or so.
