Got one from Academy from their ship to store deal. Was watching for a little while and it seemed like everyone was out of stock. Night sights, 1x17 round mag and 2x19 round Mags. For the price it didn’t seem too bad of a deal. I think the gen 3 just got retired pending a trip to the range.

I'm normally not a Glock fan, but I handled a G19X last weekend at the gun show and I was impressed. They changed the grip angle I think and got rid of the weird finger grooves. Very nice pistol.

Think it changed a bunch of stuff so most aftermarket Glock stuff won't work with the X model. Looks pretty good, but id buy a G19 Gen 4 with night sights and be done with it.

I also believe it's a bit taller (slide+frame) so if you're using it with a light most holsters won't work or will be very tight fit. Also I think it has the ambi slide release which only on the X and the Gen 5 and yes the gen 5 basplates dont fit it.

It normally only changes the holster fit when running a light/laser on it.
To me if you're going to carry something with the 17 frame might as well run the 17 slide for longer sight radius.
If anything they should have went the other way and did the 17 slide on a 19 frame.

I’m guessing any gun running a laser/light would change the holster deal. But ok guess it’s not the gun for you I like it

But ok guess it’s not the gun for you I like it No it doesn't, I run a light on my G22 Gen4 and works perfectly with its holster because that's what the holster was made for, what I'm saying is you can't go get a regular G19 + TLR1 holster and it work correctly you have to find a holster maker with the new slightly taller molds. I'm not trying to bag on the gun I'm sure it's great, I love Glocks they're great guns I was simply saying I'd rather have a Gen 4 for less money. Congrats on the purchase I'm sure it'll be an awesome gun after all it is a Glock

I'm not sure what I would want or need on for, but the concept is sort of intriguing for me. I like the looks of them!
