Have any of you ever had the Hellwig helper springs...if so did they raise your rear end and did you like them or not? I want something to prevent sagging when the beds loaded up and stability for towing. I dont want to do an add a leaf that will raise my rear end. Im looking at the hellwig pro series #61607 for a 2015 F150. Thanks in advance.

They work ok. But not until they’re really overloaded. You can go to a shop and add a spring in the pack, won’t lift it like an “ addaleaf”. Other option Is air bags . If you do that get on board compressor. Worth the extra $

Two trucks now, I've added air bags and on board compressor. It is a snap to install.

If you need helper springs, there is no better system.

Just came across the roadmaster ras system. Any experience with this? Looks like it will raise rear about 3/4" but lots of good reviews.

Are you looking to lift the rear?

I also would recommend the air bags, think they are a better option than additional springs. As far as level you add more air the heavier the load and it should keep it pretty level while maintaining the best ride you can.

I have the helwig springs in my F250. Made a tremendous difference in load ability. No more sway or squat. You can preload then as much as you wish. It did not raise my truck height. I don’t remember the model but they right at $300. I did get the ones with the rubber to prevent noise. And they are silent. As said above. SDtrucksprings is where I got mine.

Thanks.. I think I'm going to go with the roadmaster active suspension. It's had some other benefits plus will prevent sagging. It is $400 though.

My dually came with a bed. I built a flatbed, with four under bed boxes, and a Montezuma on the bed. I don't know, but I probably added 2000 pounds to what the truck was carrying. It squatted a bit with just the bed. I keep the bags a 30 psi. When I hook up a trailer, it automatically adjusts ride height, by applying more air. When I unhook the trailer, it lets air back out of the bags. The last system I had was manual add and release, and that would have been fine on this truck. But the digital remote, and the auto level feature kit was on sale. It works great, on a weekly basis.

Went with the roadmaster active suspension springs and glad I did. They really do improve the ride when unloaded. No more bouncing when hitting bumps and less tire skip. Haven't tested them hauling or with bed loaded yet though but I think it will be much better. They did raise the rear close to an inch but I got some eibach 2" lifted struts for the front.

Yes, I too noticed a significant reduction in wheelhop. I bet you'll love them.

I have been happy with the firestone riderite bags. But that is the way to go.
