I have an older 92fs I got recently. the factory mags really suck. the bottom plate tends to slide off letting the contents fall out. Is this normal or have they improved them now?

The 6 or so I have are solid gear and all are truly OEM mags, ordered directly from Beretta.
Last purchased back in the fall, so fairly recent.
Are your mags really factory mags and/or are they simply worn out?

Possibly worn out. the mags look just like this one. I have some aftermarket with no removable floor plate, but I don't like them as well.

The mags were the main problem our troops reported on the M9 (same as 92 model). Lots of issues with them.

Not normal with my 92FS mags. It's possible it just needs new base plates?

Beretta sells just the base plates on their web site, so others must need them. http://www.berettausa.com/en-us/beretta-92-series-plastic-magazine-bottom-with-steel-insert/c57058/

Those plastic base plates are worthless. You can find aluminum plates on ebay which don't suck.
