Looking for Ruger 10/22 with walnut stock. Does not have to be LNIB but not beat all to hell either. And I do not want to go through a FFL. Shipped to me USPS.

Talo is a custom builder for Rugers. Beautiful wood stocks.

Don, if you have an academy close to you, they have 10/22 w/ wood stocks on sale $189.99. They are online only, but I believe they ship to store for free.

You'll have to get a Sporter to get walnut from Ruger unless you fine a new gun that was made in 1980 or before.

TALO is a wholesaler and commissions limited runs of firearms then distributes them. I'm pretty sure they don't build anything.

I have seen that walnut stocks for 10/22's are available on ebay. Now just need a barreled action.

All 10/22 Deluxes Ive seen are walnut, and checkered. Carbine stocks were switched over to cheaper birch sometime around 1980 you still find some but not often. I have a 1976 carbine with walnut stock but its not for sale.

This Deluxe is though, has a tapered ER Shaw barrel sorry FTF only N TX

BEWARE! Most of the so called walnut stocks on eBay are walnut stained birch. eBay sellers know no different in most cases and are dishonest in others when it comes to Ruger stocks.

Very true, but when you close up on the stocks you can pretty much tell what is walnut and what is birch. You would just have to make certain that what you bought was what was pictured.

I know you don't want to go through an FFL but I would check with Buds Guns before buying anything. They have a HUGE selection of 10/22s and always have free shipping. I've never had one problem with them.

I second this suggestion!
I've purchased several guns from Buds online. Even after paying the registration paperwork fee at my local FFL Gun Shop it has always been cheaper than a local gun store.
I saved $160 on my Ruger 45 ACP 1911 I purchased from Buds, always select the cash price when paying and have never had ANY problems with purchases.
