For those that have dropped in timney's; they finally released one for the xbolts. Sounds fairly simple if you have the right size punch. Is this a job for the average joe with common sense or gun smith territory?

The last Timney I installed, in a Rem 700, I did it on the bed of my pickup in 5 minutes. The right punch size, a hammer, and a watchful eye as to how it all goes together is all that's needed.

The trickiest part is the bolt release and sping, so pay attention before you disassemble it.

its a DIY deal, but on some stocks the saftey my not fucntion so check it once its all put together if it does not function you'll have to remove some stock material to allow the lever to toggle. Now brownings may be different due to the fact they dont have safety lever nor a bolt release.

I installed one into my Ruger American in around ten minutes, mostly because I was talking on the phone while I did it. Super easy.

I appreciate the feedback - got one on the way. I'll report back once I get it dropped in.

I’d this is your first aftermarket trigger, think really hard before you install it. Most factory triggers won’t stack up. The new stock adjustable triggers are good on most guns (even my mossberg) but my old riflesnwith standard triggers are calling out for new triggers.

I generally like the trigger on the xbolt, breaks clean, it's just too heavy for my liking even adjusted down all the way

I always hit up youtube when I'm about to do something new on a gun, or even something common like replace a trigger but on a different gun. There are tons of well made "how to" videos out there.

100% I do the same. I do that for a lot of fix-it stuff. Repaired a lot of stuff around he house I didn’t think I could thanks to YouTube.
