I remember that ad. As a kid, I spent many hours browsing through hunting magazines. I dreamed of having that pistol and shooting a blackbuck like that. Thanks for the memories!!!

While probably one of my favorite pistols it's not one of my favorite shooters. Beautifully blued and perfectly fitted but with just a single locking point it's weak compared to the S&W K-frames. They can be shot out of time fairly quick using just factory 357 ammo. But I still ain't getting rid of them! I'll stick with a Smith and Wesson for overall use and performance, double locking points and a much better single action trigger. Give it a trigger job and it's better than the Colt. Shot combat matches for some time back in the 70's and the Smith ruled the competition.


Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I desperately wanted one of those Python Hunter packages as a kid. Now that I'm a mature 53 year old I still do. Cool thread, Don.
