Has anyone hunted Gatesville to Copperas Cove area?
Good wildlife?

Live and hunt in that area. There's a lot of smaller properties south of Gatesville and a lot of hunting pressure. There's also a good population of deer and a decent number of turkey if you have the right type of property (creek/river bottom). A typical mature buck will go about 110 - 120 with the occasional 140 inch deer. You should check out the neighbors and make sure you're not bordered by a bunch of those 5 - 10 acre ranchitos.
