You know that old story about a guy buying a farm and when he opens up the barn there are half a dozen Corvettes sitting on blocks, no rust, perfect condition. It's like the fantasy of every car enthusiast in the world. Well, something like that happened to me the other day.
I stopped at a little store in Hamlin, Texas called Bell's Home and Auto. Bell's is one of those stores that have basically gone the way of the dinosaur because of big box stores full of Chinese junk and highways that bypass small towns. They sell everything from plumbing to tires to hardware to guns. And that brings us back to the reason I'm posting.
Rodger Bell, the owner of Bell's (clever marketing isn't it?) has built up an incredible collection of Sako rifles. I bet I counted 40 of them in this little store. I saw everything from 22Hornet to 416! He's a Sako guy. You've got a passionate collector that has decided to sell his collection in Hamlin, population of maybe 2000 souls. So, he made a website to sell off his collection. You can find it at www.sakosource.com.
Before you think something bad about me or him, I've got nothing to gain from this and he doesn't know I'm posting it. I just stumbled into that dusty barn and saw all those beautiful Vettes, so to speak. Now I'm sharing the find and hoping for karma to bring good things my way in the future!
If you're looking for a Sako and you already know what they are then have a look at his website. If not, take a half a day and drive out to Hamlin and introduce yourself to Rodger. He's a good guy, easy to talk to and he can tell you all about Sakos (and other brands that built on Sako actions).
