I got a refurbished gopro 4 session for Christmas and tried it out this weekend. Unknowingly I had it set on wide lens which hurt the video quality.
Any of you ever wear a camera while hunting? I was not pleased with the video I got but I'm going to try again with the lens not set on wide view. I'm still not sure I'm going to get the quality I am looking for.
I'm looking for suggestions. However, I may be stuck with what I have, not sure of the return policy.

make sure you have it set to 1080p and 60fps and highest quality video (if it has that setting). I dont think the Session has image stabilization, which is tough when you are walking with the video camera on you (lots of bounce)
I have been doing mine with a YI 4K camera and shooting in 2.7K and 60fps, been pretty happy with that.

I tinkered with it and found id rather just hunt. I couldnt get a decent video that captured the hunt...ended up losing opportunities. Then I tried to use it while bowhunting but the footage looked so so far away..honestly your better off with a camcorder cause the GoPro footage is so panned out...you have to get so close to the birds/deer.
there are a few on youtube that came out decent though.

Thats about where I am on taking a drone. Its a pain carrying it around, keep batteries charged, and you are just a follower and cant handle dogs etc. I have one that will ActiveTrack on a guy in front walking and follow at that distance (DJI Spark) but that function is a little flakey and would prefer one that would follow your phone staying 20 yards back or the transmitter.

The videos I got were stable it just didn't go very far with much clarity, i.e you couldn't see the birds. I had it on 1080, not sure about the speed, but i also had it on wide. I'm going to try one more time with standard view but I wish it had a narrow or zoom. I'm afraid I may have wasted some money.
There were a couple of dog shots I wish I had captured better. One one, I had a dog re-position and when he did he put his head under the chin of another dog. So the dogs bodies were at 90 degree angles but there heads were looking in the same direction.
