If anyone has done a deer roast in a sous vide, then smoked it, what was your temp and time in the sous vide?
Been seeing 24-48 hours at 135° for a Chuck roast. Would it be the same for a deer roast? I am using a 4# roast.

Smoke it first, then boil it.

I found 1 for an actual venison roast. 24 hours at 135°, then low smoke for 2-3 hours,Then sear.

From everything I've read about the sous vide it's better to do all your smoking and searing after.

I've used this thing twice and am really impressed with the results so far.

Definitely smoke/sear after the sous vide. I think you are on the right track with the recipe you found.

Rotate it on your original picture and edit it back in.

Here you go. Look at the little bitty picture on the left. Back out and rotate if it is not upright.
