Talked to a guy at DSC and he stated this is his honey hole. Not as many birds but still plenty and cheaper and closer to home than Argentina. Anyone have any experience?

Thanks

No thanks.
Constant state of civil war, rival gangs. I’ll stick with Argentina

I looked at the prices not long ago and it was the same or a little more expensive than what you can find an Argentina hunt for. You will save a boat load on shotgun shells though. From my research I've done you can expect to shoot 5-10 boxes per hunt. You can shoot that in Argentina in a half hour. If its just the number of birds you want to see and you don't care about piling them up there is a couple areas in Texas you can see way more birds than Nicaragua.

That’s what I was worried about. I figured I’d ask the question before diving too deep into it. The risk doesn’t seem to match the reward.

My old mans crew has done both..they said Nicaragua was all around better. Argentina had more birds, but they all enjoyed Nicaragua more.

The only reason I'd go to Nicaragua would be to shoot a couple hundred blue wings in one day..

The civil war there ended in 1990.

To be determined

I've been there 3 times in the last 3 years including 2 months this past summer.. It's incredibly safe, there are no rebels/threats of civil war, and they have the biggest white wings I've ever seen..

It's a direct flight on American in the summer (3 1/2 hours) to Managua..
